After receiving your application to adopt we will arrange a home visit, please do not be concerned about this. It is not a problem if you live in a big house or a small apartment as long as the pet you want to adopt is suited to your lifestyle. Most home visits should take about 10 to 15 minutes and include a brief tour of your home (and garden where applicable). Our representative won’t open your drawers or run a white-gloved finger over your skirting boards. We are not there to judge your decorating style or housekeeping skills. We simply need to make sure you are who you say you are and that the home is safe and secure for your new pet.
Some of the things that will be checked :
the house and garden for anything unsafe for dogs for example the fencing and gates are secure and high enough.
that you understand the correct feeding, walking requirements etc.
that you understand about worming/fleaing,and what vaccinations your new pet will have had and will need in the future.
that you understand any behavioural issues of you chosen pet.
that you understand about the adoption fee.
Please note : there is no charge to you for the home check.
